Sean Boykevisch is a Licensing Associate at SUNY Stony Brook’s Office of Technology Licensing and Industry Relations.  He manages over eighty technologies in the life sciences, and is responsible for the identification, vetting, IP protection, and out-licensing of new and existing technologies. Prior to his current position, Sean was a Manager of Business Development at the Center for Biotechnology where he was responsible for facilitating a number of industry/academic collaborations, as well as co-managing the Center’s Technology Development fund, and developing commercialization strategies for early stage technology.  Additionally, while working at the Center, Sean organized the inaugural 2008 Long Island Innovation Boot Camp (Pre-Seed Workshop), which will return for its third year in March 2010.

Sean holds a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology, and is a graduate of the Fundamentals of Bioscience Industry Program, where he has remained very active in the Alumni Executive Committee, most recently as President.  Sean also serves on the Board of Directors of NYC Bio, an organization that facilitates collaboration, innovation and entrepreneurship in the NYC bioscience community.
